Current Need
Contract Associate

Primary Role: 
Contract Associate responsible for the daily administration of supplier contracts and issue resolution for high profile customers.  Focus on high touch with customer and sales team and interact in frequent correspondence with customer on inquiries, proactive communication and issue resolution.  Work directly with suppliers to ensure the timely and accurate administration of contracts and the resolution of issues.  Monitor both supplier compliance with contractual obligations and production trends through analytics and root cause analysis.  Provide recommendations to management for process improvements based on analytical findings.  Develop system and departmental subject matter expertise and participate as a team member on projects.  Ability to influence others and build strong relationships.  Uses critical thinking, data analysis, research and contract compliance knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to high profile customers and sales team through resolution of escalated issues, performance of customer audits and participation in high level of customer interaction.
  • Ensure that customer contract eligibility is administered accurately through the contract system in accordance with customer’s supply agreement.  Understand cause and effect relationships related to contract changes within the system.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers, sales force, and product management to build relationships and resolve issues.
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis of accounting information for complex suppliers and customers.
  • Perform analytics, identify production trends, and provide appropriate reporting to management.
  • Research supplier exception items to determine validity and provide appropriate support to substantiate McKesson’s position.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for process and automation enhancements.
  • Administer supplier contract renewals, terminations and updates through the contracts system with a focus on quality standards and production metrics.
  • Work system exception reports on a daily basis and utilize reporting to identify possible quality issues.
  • Proactively identify customer price file discrepancies and work to resolve.
  • Proactively work with suppliers to ensure compliance with agreements, specifically the timeliness and completeness of information.   Responsible for the escalation of compliance issues.
  • Ensure that service level expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Utilize systems and software to perform complex research assignments.
  • Develop system and process expertise. 
  • Represent the department on various project teams as a subject matter expert.
  • Cross train on multiple departmental functions.


Minimum Requirements
Entry level experience in proposal analysis

Critical Skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Office

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years related business experience in Financial Services, Accounting, Financial, or Wholesale Drug industry.
  • Experience should involve transactional processing, reconciliations, monitoring customer compliance,
  • problem solving, research and analysis. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in business operations and offer potential solutions. 
  • Proven track record in successfully maintaining key accounts, as well as research and analysis capabilities. 


4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience
