SecureWorks, an industry leader in the provision of cybersecurity solutions, is seeking a Contracts Consultant to join its Legal team in its Atlanta office, supporting the Company’s client transactions. The Contracts Consultant will report to the Legal Director of SecureWorks. High integrity and excellent judgment in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential to the role. The Contracts Consultant will be responsible for negotiating client contracts, drafting and finalizing contractual documents, and managing communications as to such contracts with internal and external clients. The Contracts Consultant will work with cross-functional organizations to manage and finalize client agreements, advise the organization as to contractual rights and obligations, and provide interpretation of terms and conditions
-Reviewing, drafting, revising and negotiating a wide range of security services agreements, Statements of Work, Schedules, and ordering documents.
-Managing escalations as to non-standard contract requests, and securing and documenting approvals from internal stakeholders.
-Collaborating with Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, Tax, and Insurance groups to ensure that agreements meet Company policies and protect the Company’s interests.
-Documenting internal positions as to operational and risk issues presented in the contract.
-Providing support to the Account Management teams in addressing requests for addenda/amendments for current Client contracts.
-Recognizing risk elements in business transactions and solving problems in a team environment.
-Proactively resolving outstanding issues with outside Clients and utilizing strong interpersonal and persuasive skills in Client discussions.
-Assisting in developing and presenting to Sales and Contract Managers training materials relating to contract, operational, and negotiation support of revenue-producing transactions.
-Conveying complex and legally complicated information to all levels of Company personnel in a concise and professional manner.
As a managed security provider SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.
-Commercial contracts consultant with a minimum of at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in an in-house corporate legal or contracts management department.
-Demonstrated skills in providing effective support to Sales team and other internal stakeholders to build strong internal relationships.
-Demonstrated use of strong analytical skills in solving problems independently.
-Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work efficiently in a high-energy environment, and collaborate effectively with management as both an advisor and business leader.
-Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills combined with an established ability to work in a collaborative and collegial attitude.
-Experience with independently gathering information while adjusting to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
-Experience with data protection and data privacy laws and regulations is preferred.
-Experience with technology solutions transactions and negotiating complex global agreements with technology clients is preferred.
