PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Plant Maintenance, Environmental, Utilities and Facility support.
A. Utilizes educational training and experience to assist plant maintenance and Controls with troubleshooting and repair of existing systems, evaluates existing designs, recommends and implements solutions and improvements, as needed.
B. Responsible for the support and Maintenance of programmable logic controllers, personal computers, man/machine interface devices and support of electrical infrastructure.
2. Upgrade of existing plant equipment and control systems.
A. Assists Maintenance and Controls team with the upgrade of existing control systems, programmable logic controllers and other technically advance systems and devices, as assigned.
3. Process, quality, and sanitation innovations.
A. Promotes the use of computer technology to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
B. Utilizes resources to provide process improvements and innovations to maintain and enhance product quality.
4. Exhibition of communication and people skills.
A. Train operations plant personnel in all aspects of machine control systems as needed.
B. Provide assistance, guidance, and training for the maintenance team so as to enhance their ability to maintain today’s technically advanced systems.
C. Work with Controls Group to resolve and design out operational problems.
5. Assist with the maintenance and configuration of Maintenance PC’s.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required with Electrical/Electronic or Programming background, A.S. Degree in Electrical Technology, or Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
Experience (Years/Type): 1-2 years Electrical/Electronic Maintenance or equivalent.
Strong PC skills and understanding of communications and networking required.
A. Must show the ability to learn new information related to hardware and software and demonstrate the ability to train others.
B. Must demonstrate the motivation and ability to seek out process issues and develop solutions.
