A Controls Engineer job in Louisville, Ky is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technology on a direct-hire basis. To be qualified for this position you will need to possess a Bachelors Degree in engineerig or equivalent combination of education and experience In this position you will participate in electrical control design and commissioning
Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
Following Company department standards in electrical control design, PLC programming, installation and commissioning
Ensuring compliance with customer requirements specified in project documents
Leading development and design of PLC based controls
Providing technical leadership to controls team and conducting team meetings
Communicating with project manager(s) regarding progress or problems related to the project(s)
Acting as Company representative of the Electrical Department during commissioning of the project at the site
Keeping current with technology in baggage handling
Controls Engineer Requirements:
Engineering related Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university
5+ years experience in electrical controls engineering
5+ years of experience designing controls systems, commissioning and troubleshooting PLC industrial control systems (Rockwell, Square D, Siemens) and their industrial networks (ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, Profibus and Ethernet).
Competency with Field installation supervision, monitoring Electrical installation subcontractor and Closing of jobs.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the baggage handling field.
Strong communication, organizational and project management skills.
- Autolisp, C+, .NET, etc. programming experience
- Automotive, Material Handling, or Motion control experience
- Design experience with industrial controls
- Able to read, interpret, and implement a design based on a customer specification
