The Engineering Intern/Co-op will work in multi-discipline teams within Baxter's business groups and assist engineers in performing product support activities such as root cause investigations and design change implementations. The Engineering Intern/Co-op may also be involved in new product development activities such as prototype fabrication and testing, and be an active member of brainstorming sessions.

The internship/co-op will allow the student to gain hands-on experience with different aspects of development and support of new medical device products. In addition, the student will receive mentoring from his/her manager and teammates. The experience and mentoring will complement the student's studies to prepare them for a successful engineering career. Engineering interns/co-ops who excel in the Internship/Co-op Program will be considered for the Technical Development Program or other full-time engineering positions.

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical and Biomedical) or Materials Science, Chemistry and Pharmacy.
• Completed Sophomore year in degreed program and enrolled in school the term following the internship/co-op.
• Strong academic performance - Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
• Proven track record of delivery of commitments
• Demonstrates excellent skills in organization, team dynamics, effective communication and prioritization of tasks
• "Passion" for Engineering with a desire for a career in technology
