Digital Marketing Copywriter

The Oracle Marketing Cloud (previously Responsys ) creative team acts as an agency within the larger company, providing digital marketing strategy and production services - ideating, consulting, design, copywriting, coding and testing - for leading brands in retail, technology, travel, finance and beyond. Reporting to the San Francisco Creative Director, the Copywriter works with Account Managers, Designers, Copywriters and Developers to conceptualize and execute creative deliverables for Oracle Marketing Cloud clients. (This is not an Oracle Marketing Cloud brand role - this copywriter works with clients only.) Balancing creative thinking and writing with interpersonal skills, this person is responsible for the successful translation of customer goals into everything from narrative concepts to actionable campaign-level messaging to legal text and error messages. The Copywriter is able to concept and craft inspiring, innovative copy solutions for a variety of brands and businesses with the knowledge that content can make or break an entire experience. The Copywriter is able to both partner with and lead clients to make the right content decisions for their customers.

Understand client requirements and translate them into high-performing concepts and campaigns Work with Creative, Account and Technical team members to develop effective cross-channel strategies
• Find effective methods for blending data-driven information with storytelling to craft deliverables with impact
• Apply critical thinking skills to large, complex account objectives to provide elegant and simple solutions
• Communicate directly with customers via email, telephone and in-person
• Reach for innovative creative solutions to emerging channels such as mobile and social
Minimum 3 years experience Ability to deliver on-strategy, on-brand messages A diverse portfolio of work in the digital direct channel, including email marketing Content strategy experience expected Persuasive presentation skills Specific experience in the travel and insurance industries desirable Agency background a plus Qualifications:
Member of an expert services team who is responsible for delivering a quality solution in a timely manner, on budget and to a client*s satisfaction. Responsible for delivering a set of services and key deliverables that match customer specifications. Key responsibilities include the development, testing, and launching of marketing programs.
Senior consulting member of the Expert Services team who provides expert services both as an individual and a team member. Takes direction from senior team members and management to ensure quality marketing deliverables for Oracle customers. Has advanced subject matter expertise in marketing programs and campaigns. Has the ability to develop, coordinate, test, and launch standard/advanced interactive marketing programs using the Oracle Marketing platform for on-time, on-budget, and error free project deliverables. Takes an active role in guiding junior team members and leading projects. Can actively manage and resolve customer escalation, project scope issues, and technical challenges. Reviews project requests from clients to determine how to implement using established processes and best practices, or scope production specifications for custom projects.
