General Overview:

The SVP of the Operations Control & Resolution (OCR) area will report directly to the executive vice president of Global Transactions Control and Banking and will be responsible for providing leadership and setting strategic vision/direction for all aspects of Operations Control & Resolution enterprise-wide. Person will drive future strategy and be responsible for the design execution and implementation of a new operational risk mitigation program across all business units and global locations with ultimate goal being to reduce and eliminate aged cash breaks by Day 5 and improve the end-to-end client experience. This senior leader will manage a global team across multiple State Street and JV locations with direct accountability of cash breaks and will interact directly with our clients to ensure minimal delays in service. This person will work closely with the Enterprise Reconciliation Operations sr. leader and other key leaders to understand trends and patterns to further reduce/eliminate cash breaks and strengthen State Street's risk excellence model.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • \t\tRegularly assess operational effectiveness and control environment particularly in regards to break resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • \t
  • \t\tDirectly contribute to and lead strategic initiatives globally focused on improving the end-to-end client experience.
  • \t
  • \t\tDesign and implement a scalable and measurable global controls model across multiple business units.
  • \t
  • \t\tWork with peers and other leaders in the achievement of corporate standards for operational excellence.
  • \t
  • \t\tFrequently interact with division heads business unit SVPs and 2nd & 3rd Line of Defense leaders to achieve operational excellence.
  • \t
  • \t\tKey influencer for operations transformation programs.
  • \t
  • \t\tDrive the design and execution of department's business planning and goal setting process.
  • \t
  • \t\tFacilitate appropriate resource allocation of people and technology to meet the changing operational servicing and regulatory needs of internal and external clients.

  • \t\tCoordinate all compliance and audit activities to increase regulatory rigor.
  • \t
  • \t\tAssess and remediate risk incidents and conduct escalation reviews.
  • \t
  • \t\tDirects projects across a wide spectrum of geographies businesses and levels.

  • \t\tProvides leadership and embeds a culture of continuous improvement across teams utilizing Lean Agile Kanban Kaizen methodologies.
Qualifications:
    \t
  • \t\tBA/BS required; MBA or CFA preferred
  • \t
  • \t\t15+ years' experience in Custody Accounting and Client Service with specific focus on ops. model transformation
  • \t
  • \t\tPrior leadership experience driving enterprise-wide change globally with demonstrated success.
  • \t
  • \t\tInfluential change agent from both a strategic and operational perspective ensuring understanding participation and ownership by key stakeholders
  • \t
  • \t\tAbility to lead in a challenging environment and ability to influence superiors colleagues and subordinates through collaboration and negotiation

  • \t\tStrong oversight skills with ability to manage the design execution and implementation of complex multi-faceted strategic initiatives across the organization
