Job Summary
The Senior Associate Corporate Audit assists the General Auditor and Corporate Audit management to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the operations Amgen. Responsibilities include:

Supports activities to determine whether the Amgen's systems of risk management, control and governance processes are adequate and functioning in a manner appropriate to a company of our size and market

Exercises good judgment and initiative in handling audit issues with clients

Discharges responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with The Institute of Internal Auditors' Code of Ethics, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Statement of Responsibilities

Travel up to 25% per year

Basic Qualifications
Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree with 2 years' of audit experience
OR
Associates degree with 6 years' audit experience
OR
High School diploma/GED and 8 years' audit experience

Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing operations, project and change management
Big 4 and Fortune 500 internal audit experience
Advanced certification (i.e., MBA, CPA, CISA or Six Sigma)
Pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry experience
Self-starter with excellent project management skills
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to effectively and confidentially interact with Amgen senior management
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
