Under general direction of the intern manager/mentor of the AmerisourceBergen Corporation, an intern will assist with a variety of Information Technology specific job assignments and contributes to the completion of established projects and initiatives.
Information Technology (Non-Technical) opportunities include the following: (Key information will be provided during phone interview)
1. Cyber Security -
a. Analyze cyber alerts for advanced malware and malicious network activity
b. Work with endpoint and network teams to implement countermeasures
c. Assist in cyber projects
2. Information Technology Operations -
a. Drive automation into daily tasks to drive efficiency into team processes
b. Work with IT Operations team to provide stability to critical business applications
c. Work with Endpoint and Desktop support teams to understand the effort in supporting ABC associates on daily basis
3. Information Delivery -
a. Develop analytic models to support decision making in different business units
b. Assist in testing and documenting analytics tools as part of an Analytics Platform
c. Develop and test business intelligence reporting and data visualization capabilities
4. Information Technology Services Delivery
a. Assist with research and evaluation of new and emerging technologies and applications
b. Participate in various software development life cycle activities including analysis, design, testing and deployment
c. Collect and document knowledge through research, interviews and discussion
5. Information Technology Governance
a. Functional day-to-day support of incoming requests (30 per week)
b. Requirements determination and documentation for minor enhancements of the tool
6. Quality Assurance & Change Management
a. Projects would include assisting Quality Assurance and Change Management assessments of existing applications.
b. Implementing standard change definitions and/or writing process descriptions, or verifying existing changes from a quality assurance or change compliance perspective. Qualifications: Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Students must be a Sophomore, Junior or rising Senior
Bachelor's degree in Security & Risk Analysis, Cybersecurity, MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration preferred
Previous internship experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good project management skills
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
