Scientific and Laboratory Services Lake Forest Chemical Quality (SLS-CQ) laboratory tests L-Hospira product on stability as well as some release testing and other unique stability studies. This individual required to perform wet chemical techniques including visual evaluation, titrations, UV/Vis, pH, and simple HPLC testing at a minimum. This individual may also perform some simple instrumental methods which may include polarimetry, or AA. This individual will be responsible for preparing solutions, performing analyses, as well as recording and processing data according to cGMP, DEA, FDA and ICH guidelines as needed. The primary responsibility of this role includes using Functional/Technical skills to perform analytical testing and data processing in accordance with procedure, regulatory guidelines (FDA, MHRA, TGA, ICH, and DEA). This individual will need to seize accountability by assuring accurate laboratory records are kept in accordance with procedures and cGMPs. This individual will also be required to perform peer review of other's laboratory solution notebooks. This individual will need to be Change Agile to accommodate potential testing schedule changes to meet business needs and departmental turnaround goals. This individual will also need to perform duties associated with day-to day laboratory operations including sample receipt/disposal, waste disposal, facility checks, and other activities to apply 5s principles. This individual must also follow safety rules and requirements by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, follow proper chemical handling and disposal procedures and maintain an orderly work area. This individual must have a Bachelor's degree in science discipline (preferably chemistry, biochemistry or biology). This individual should have a minimum of 0-1 years or experience in a Quality Control or R&;D laboratory. Experience with a wide variety of analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC, AA, UV-Vis, etc.) is desired. Knowledge of cGMPs and pharmaceutical regulations, LIMS, Empower, and Microsoft Office is desired.
