Role Profile

The Creative Lab is seeking a Creative Manager with a proven background in bespoke Art Direction and Design combined with digital technology. Working with the VP of the Creative Lab and others, the Creative Manager collaboratively leads and directs cross-disciplinary design, development and execution of creative ad tech strategies and assignments.

This is a hands-on role in which the candidate will be expected to lead by example and have strong art, communication and technology skills that both lead and support the conceptual and executional direction of assignments. The Creative Manager is a team member who is constructive; willing to take creative risks, be open, charismatic, smart and committed to a vision.

Client-facing skills and the ability to sell ideas and identify growth opportunities are key. The Creative Manager is responsible for representing and communicating The Weather Channel's creative work and capabilities to current and potential clients, as well as across other internal and external departments, industry events and more.

In addition, the Creative Manager must demonstrate a growing understanding of digital trends, experiences, applied conceptual strategy, brainstorm facilitation, productive execution methods and collaboration with cross-channel leads. The candidate should also have an awareness of current industry trends and what the future holds for digital, mobile and interactive advertising experiences. Working with the VP of the Creative Lab, Design and the Technology leads, you will inspire, mentor and manage the direction of a new mobile advertising platform. This role will also require leading and enhancing the efforts of external creative resources, vendors and talent. e.g., technical developers, designers, experience architects, interaction and motion designers and more.
