DPG Business Groups include Business Deposits; Consumer Checking, Savings and Segments; Debit and Prepaid Cards; and Global Remittance Services.

Join the DPG Risk Management team and help us take deposit transaction risk analysis to the next level. You will be responsible for providing management with insights on transaction risk strategies, fraud loss mitigation initiatives, and represent Risk Management on various projects and initiatives. This position requires an analytical skill set and a deep understanding of the deposit business. A successful candidate will have the analytical tools needed to be self-sufficient and the mindset of owning the business.


  • Lead risk management initiatives that impact more than a trillion dollars in deposits. Own multi-channel risk strategies with a relentless focus on delivering results, communicating with business partners, and adding value through meaningful insights.
  • Lead risk initiatives with low supervision. Prepare and present recommendations to senior management, product managers, compliance, and operations groups to garner their support and approval.
  • Manage centralized reporting of metrics used in decision making, understanding customer behavior, and performance of risk strategies. Monitor and research new trends, business initiatives, and other events with a potential impact on losses.
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses. Recent examples include understanding channel usage migration (teller, ATM, mobile) and increasing deposit limits through the mobile channel. Provide forecasts, test plans, and other analyses with well-documented assumptions and nimbly revise as required.
  • Investigate individual cases, particularly false positives and false negatives.
  • Understand and leverage decision and loss tracking systems, procedures and data, and provide feedback for enhancement.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of risk experience
  • 3+ years of SAS experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of experience with analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, modeling and tracking
  • Knowledge and understanding of Tableau
  • Knowledge and understanding of data visualization
  • Extensive statistical modeling, analysis, optimization and segmentation experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers: economics and implications for marketing strategy
  • Ability to manage complex data and reporting projects requiring coordination of resources at different levels both internally and externally
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
