Our CL Credit Risk team partners across the Home Lending businesses to satisfy our customers' ongoing financial needs by providing sustainable home lending solutions while striving to maintain a consistent and efficient credit culture and strategy.

We are seeking a Credit Risk Analytics Consultant with great attention to detail and a solid foundation of SAS and or SQL technical/programming skills.

This position with be responsible for performing various complex activities related to Data Governance and Credit Risk Analysis. This position within Business Intelligence Process Management will be responsible for performing regular data lineage, and data integrity testing across various lines of business within Home Lending utilizing multiple database systems.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience identifying, researching, and taking the appropriate steps to log and resolve data errors.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of risk reporting experience, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a Master s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, or engineering and 3+ years of risk reporting experience
  • 3+ years of SQL or SAS experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Specifically, SQL Server, Teradata, IBM DB2, and Oracle
  • Experience working with SAS in a UNIX environment
  • 3 years or more, experience working in an enterprise environment as a provider of analytical data reporting solutions
  • Ability to perform data quality checks in a methodical manner to understand how to accurately utilize data and interpret results
  • Ability to understand and rewrite code in order to optimize code efficiency in runtime and output with little or no provided documentation and code structure
  • prior work experience in a highly regulated industry; with an emphasis on reporting or analyzing data environments for accuracy
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, and will have the ability to simultaneously manage several high-priority tasks, and the ability to learn / apply new skills quickly
  • Must possess the ability to perform high quality, well documented work under tight deadlines
  • Must have well developed interpersonal skills and must be able to work effectively in a distributed working

Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
