Job Title: Cryptographic Services Engineer

What You'll Do
The Cryptographic Services team is looking for a highly motivated engineer to work on our Operations team, providing system administration and key management support for Cisco's rapidly growing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic services. You will provide day-to-day support of existing systems and assist in the design and deployment of upgrades and new systems, as well as managing and providing automation for recurring tasks, while learning and exercising skills in key management and cryptographic operations. You will be an escalation point for our Technical Response Center providing 24/7 support to global user base on a rotating duty basis.
Who You'll Work With
We are a centralized group of architects, developers, engineers and project/program managers that specialize in building and delivering cryptographic key and certificate management capabilities to the company, as well as enabling the business to deliver enhanced services to Cisco's end-customers. From SSL to anti-counterfeit to software-signing to information rights management to product licensing, this group of highly talented and passionate individuals provide critical security services across the breadth of Cisco's internal and external functions.
Who You Are
You are an early-in-career individual with the desire and initiative to learn new skills in a highly critical and complex environment. You have hands-on experience in Microsoft and Linux environments and a track record of juggling multiple tasks and initiatives.
At minimum, we require:
* Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux (CentOS, RedHat) operating systems
* Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell)
* Ability to troubleshoot OS, application and hardware issue
* Basic understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts.
* Ability to work across cultures and timezones
* US citizenship
Additional skills and experience we would consider a plus:
* Hands-on experience with PKI and x.509 certificates
* 2-3 years in a Microsoft or Linux System Administration role
* Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud services
* Knowledge of Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and/or Key Management Systems (KMS)
