Performs Computed Tomography Procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Operates and assists in maintaining high technology CT systems. Handles confidential patient medical records information. Maintains high standards of patient care and exceptional customer service skills. Operates H.I.S. computer terminals. Participates in process improvement efforts. Competent in patient care principles for patients ranging from infant to geriatric. Knowledgeable of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles, Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St. David's ""Patients First"" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
Required: Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA.
Required: Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Required: Texas Department of State Health Services - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT (CT)), and current certification for BCLS Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred: 1 year experience as a CT technologist, Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography
