Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images and to perform CT Studies.

Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates CT equipment safely.

Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations.

Render patient care in professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocol.

Prepare CT scanner and perform quality control tests.

Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.

Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.

Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to policy and


REQUIRED: ARRT and at least one of year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.

PREFERRED: One-year as a CT technologist


REQUIRED: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure


LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (Required or Preferred)

American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required)

ARRT - CT Technology (preferred)

American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)

Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)

Current CPR certification (required)
