Power Systems, Electrical Sector-Americas has an opening for a Custom Assembler/Painter for 3rd Shift located in South Milwaukee, WI.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of both assembly and painting operations.
•Perform a variety of diversified sub and final assembly operations on our underground switchgear product line which contain a large number of parts and substantial fitting and aligning of components.
•Set-up, build, & palletize Underground Switchgear Units
•Perform scheduled painting operations, rework and repair of units.
•Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance on paint guns, hooks, regulators, reciprocators, hydraulic units, etc.
•Monitor and troubleshoot line activities and application procedures to ensure process specifications are followed.
•Set fluids and air pressures for equipment, monitor spray application to maintain 2 millimeter dry film thickness.
•Follow established working procedures.
•Operator is responsible for own work, under minimal supervision and instructions.
•Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
•Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards.
•Keep work area clean and orderly.
•Contribute suggestions for methods or product improvement.
•Must be able to walk/stand for an 8 hours shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Must be able to lift 44 lbs shift with or without reasonable accommodation..Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the work location will be considered.
•Must have a high school diploma or GED
•Minimum 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience working in assembly.
• Minimum 1 year experience (or equivalent) with working knowledge of production spray painting application or completion of one year post high school course in spray painting or coating application maintenance.
•Ability to read and use drawings, routings, blue prints, specifications, part numbers, and other shop documents affecting this position.
