Description:

This position is the logistics functional link between Tropicana's chilled supply chain, the Customer Supply Chain (CSC), Direct Store Door Delivery (DSD), PepsiCo Food Service/Vending Sales Customer Development Center (CDC), and PepsiCo Latin America Beverage (LAB) customer service teams. This person is the functional, "hub," of communication from all different stakeholders. In addition this person will share a responsibility of managing questions from the field for one of our 3PL sites. Job Duties:

Order Fulfillment:

  • Address order fulfillment issues with the Customer Service Teams, Transportation and Scheduling as they are arise
  • Reassign orders by changing ship dates and/or source warehouse as needed to prevent product cuts
  • Handle carrier calls for overs, shorts, damages (OS&D), late deliveries
  • Resolve issue in conjunction with Customer service teams and/or customer, which may include initiation of freight arrangements and documentation to Customer Financial Services (CFS)
  • Investigate and determine root cause service issues and communicate daily to cross-functional team
Customer Management:
  • Resolve customer service issues, track, analyze, and provide follow up communication to Customer Service Teams with recommendations
  • Analyze customer short lead-time orders, identify areas of concern and recommend corrective action
  • Initiate freight arrangements in order to resolve overage, shortage, and damage issues with customer orders
  • Lead train for the traffic department on all process implementation and improvement
  • Balance the needs and request of the customer, carrier, warehouse, production planning and deployment for every single order that is tendered.
  • A highly visible role that requires the ability to manage the relationships, communication and execution of required reporting

Transportation:
  • Manage shipments to all 48 states out of the Bradenton facility
  • Schedule loading appointments both delivered and CPU in WMS; coordinate the Distribution Center's dock schedule to hit targets
  • Responsible for various SAP transaction in conjunction with daily workflow
  • Accountable for reporting volume of shipping that is used for labor & production scheduling
  • Yearly evaluate warehouse labor schedule to identify labor vs demand as it pertains to shipping
  • Weekly financial reviews on Transportation "Bid" process
  • Ability to rapidly make decisions to rectify issues with trucks on the road and/or with trucks at the delivery site impacting transportation customer spend
Goals:
  • Achieve maximum service levels for customers, meeting or exceeding fill rate and RAD (requested arrival date) targets, and continuous process improvements in order management and transportation capabilities.


Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience, preferably in business or logistics. Will accept other degrees / colleges with appropriate experience to compensate. APICS or equivalent certification a plus
  • Software Capabilities - Microsoft PC applications, data management software, order management software and transportation management software
  • 2-5 years' experience with logistics, order management, customer service, operations, transportation or general business
  • Skills and Complexity - Resolves issues with little or no direction from management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to provide instructions to various groups with numerous inquiries. Strong sense of urgency needed to ensure responsiveness
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and understand the supply chain concepts and teach / influence others. Strong analytical foundation for fact based decision-making. Ability to develop and implement process improvements. Oral presentation skills required
  • Team Player - Participates on cross-functional teams. Supports peers to maintain workload balance and achieve team objectives. Works with other groups, such as Production Planning, Transportation, Distribution and other business units to build / maintain relationships for improved business results
  • Performance - Evidence of successful achievement of objectives in key result areas as stated in the position description
