DUTIES:

Customer Service Assistant – On-Call/Peak hours

DUTIES:

Perform basic and somewhat challenging support tasks for Client Services, Tracer Desk and other related or assigned functions.  Some of the tasks include but are not limited to: processing special request orders, processing returns, miscellaneous orders, billing requests, credits, handling client inquiries (written & verbal) as well as problem research.  This job level requires an incumbent to quickly learn to perform administrative multi-tasking and to focus concentration for extended periods.  The incumbent is expected to perform all duties and tasks within his/her department or job and when assigned, in any other department or job to the best of his/her individual skill and ability.  This may include being assigned certain production tasks during work peak periods.

PRINCIPAL SKILLS/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Perform basic and somewhat challenging administrative support tasks for Client Services, Tracer Desk and other related areas. Data Entry/Typing skills (generally 35-45WPM+ and 7,500 KPH). Generally does not need supervisory and technical assistance except for more challenging tasks. Problem solving may be needed and may require inquiry to understand assignments and assemble needed work information. Requires attention to detail and good organizational skills. This job level requires an incumbent to quickly learn to perform administrative multi-tasking and to focus concentration for extended periods. Improvise intermittently to solve work problems and issues May regularly be assigned to train, assist, and help other areas with work. Responsible for quality of work, housekeeping or work area and to work safely. Physical requirements: include walking, standing, sitting, and the use of hands to process work and use keyboard.  May on occasion exert or lift up to 25 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: Generally high school vocational orientated background or related education is preferred, and typically, 3 months to 3 years related experience.  Time classified in the specific job classification does not automatically qualify an individual.  The incumbent needs some exposure to fast pace inspection and production.

Functional area skills and knowledge: Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, good organizational skills, basic math skills, must be detail oriented, ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
