Customer Service Rep

Adecco is assisting a local client in their search for a Customer Service Representative.

Pay: $15-17/hr
Temp to hire after 3-6 months

The Customer Service Representative serves as a liaison between customers and the client by insuring prompt and efficient processing of customer orders and correspondence; acts as customer contact regarding pricing, quality, scheduling, shipping and all other customer issues. The Customer Service Representative, is the frontline person that represents our organizations philosophy of customer satisfaction, as such they must be the conduit for "Voice of the Customer", while acting in the best interest of the company. The CSR ensures that good customer relations are maintained, and customer complaints are resolved fairly and effectively, and in accordance with consumer laws
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Answering incoming phones calls from customers
• Respond to customer email inquiries
• Order entry
• Process and maintain direct ship container orders
• Process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) orders
• Enter and maintain customer contact information
• Prepare export paperwork for shipments
• Maintain routing instructions
• Creation of Bills of Lading (BOL)
• File maintenance
• Create NAFTA certificates
• Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) Maintenance
• Process Return Goods Authorizations (RGA)
• One on one interaction with floor personnel regarding schedules/expedites/special requests, etc.
• Creation and maintenance of reports as requested

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 2 years experience in Customer Service in a manufacturing/industrial environment
