Pay Rate/Salary: $17.00-18.00 / Hour

The Distribution Customer Service Representative contributes to meeting goals of exceptional customer service, quality, process improvement, and profitability by ensuring that product received into and shipped out of our warehouse is scheduled, received, tracked and invoiced accurately and timely and according to all customer specifications. The DC CSR will interface with customers, point-of-purchase customers, carriers and other vendors to ensure the smooth flow of merchandise into and out of the warehouse and according to customer requirements.

Activities include schedule carrier pickup and delivery, conduct QC checks of received orders, notify customers of damaged goods or shorts, generate pick tickets by entering customer information/requirements into WMS system, conduct manual entries into the system for inventory control, and notify customers of order status. Activities as well as work hours may fluctuate in response to daily demands and the needs of the department. May work on varied schedules. A CSR may be responsible for any or all of these activities depending on previous experience and/or performance in the department.

  • Demonstrate strong customer service orientation.

  • Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Can effectively communicate with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds, education, and economic levels and roles (e.g. ownership, senior management, company employees, customers, etc.).

  • Demonstrate effective analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills (can gather and analyze data and information and draw conclusions).

  • Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with projects or processes.

  • High detail orientation and accuracy.

  • Takes initiative and needs little supervision.

  • Able to prioritize, organize tasks and time, and follow up. Performs responsibilities efficiently and timely.

  • Prefer 1-2 years' comparable experience.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and WMS system.

  • 10 Key and Data Entry; Keyboarding Skills

  • Email communication and business writing
