POSITION OVERVIEW
Performs order entry, responds to customer order inquiries, takes ownership of all daily questions and actions related to order status and delivery for a specific group of customer by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Basic order entry of customers' purchase orders.
Analyze customer order requirements and update computer order entry files.
Perform basic customer service requirements including tracking of shipments, and the issuance of credits
Mail or fax order acknowledgements for all parts ordered by customer PO.
File all applicable customer correspondence, pricing, quotes, and acknowledgments
Maintain a clean open order report.
Match invoices to purchase orders and packing slips and file accordingly.
Mail customer invoices and acknowledgements as required daily.
Maintain consignment billings and consignment inventories.
Request quotes, new part number activations, and samples as directed by customers.
Keep customer part number cross-reference updated / accurate.
Work with Sales, Marketing and Engineering as required to communicate customer requests, problems or needs as they arise.
Communicate effectively and professionally with plant and headquarters personnel regarding order inquiries, expedites, shipments, returns, credits and the like.
Initiate credit approval forms for new customers as necessary.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Three to five years related industry experience (familiarity of RRS Products preferred).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform, and knowledge of an ERP system (Oracle or equivalent).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Less than 10% required.

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required achieving internal and external customer satisfaction.
