Job Summary

Provides customer service to external customers which includes the application of basic and intermediate underwriting guidelines, di scounts, coverage's and pricing options for all lines of business. Provides agent support with quoting, policy processing, cross selling and marketing activities. Utilizes core competencies and skills to maximize customer experience.

Essential Job Functions

Analyze, clarify, and resolve basic and intermediate policy and account related questions/transactions from external customers for all lines of business. Reviews problems and communicates with appropriate personnel to obtain information when necessary. Responds to customer inquiries through appropriate mediums. Provides an excellent customer experience by ensuring that policy transactions are issued and changes are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Objectively validates information provided for new business, endorsements and renewal transactions within defined scope of discretio n. Develops effective working relationships with agents and other internal customers for all lines of business. Includes correspondence, phone calls and e-mail to gather and analyze necessary information critical to the underwriting function. Processes and inputs all necessary policy transactions through appropriate company systems. Key enters data or prepares worksheets as needed. Provide insurance quotes and information in a courteous and professional manner.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma Property and casualty license must be obtained within 90 days of employment date and life license must be obtained within 6 months.
