The Enterprise Authentication Solutions team is deploying the CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault (EPV) platform to support active management of passwords used by applications to authenticate with other services, such as databases, etc. This project is very large, and very high profile. Project is being monitored by the Board of Directors, so performance is very key.
Required Skills: CyberArk EPV (Enterprise Password Vault), AIM (Application Identity Manager), PVWA, PA CLI and PSM (Privileged Session Manager). Familiarity with creating connectivity using CCP (Central Credential Provider) - AIM is a big one that uses CCP. Strong in command line. Looking for resources that have experience supporting CyberArk and also onboarding of use cases to the application, setting up the application, have familiarity with maintenance and troubleshooting, and can use Command Line Utility. People with a background in InfoSecurity or people engaged in high security environments are preferred, as this demonstrates an understanding of highly secured environments like the one they would be working on as part of this team; PII is a plus because of security and risk sensitivity. No Systems Admin experience required, they are not in control of their operating systems, so that is just a bonus. Windows is primary OS, there is a marginal need for Unix/Linux. Will be installing, configuring, and customizing CyberArk components. Familiarity with integrating CyberArk with LDAP and Radius is beneficial, though this has already been done. Will be configuring master policies, creating safes, provisioning, and working with bulk command line utilities. The interface for CyberArk is mainly a GUI; Command Line Utility allows for scripting large tasks or programs at once, and programmatically onboarding new accounts to the vault.
There are 26,000 service accounts that need to be onboarded between now and EOY. (Service Accounts include anyone who uses an Active Directory service account). You will develop a set portfolio of use cases. Each use case is unknown and will need to be discovered. It takes 30 days to onboard each service account, so we are doing are doing thousands at a time in parallel currently. All Service accounts need to be put in the vault (EPV- enterprise password vault). Customers are Application Owners or Engineers that describe how they use the passwords, then our team builds the solution and use cases. The engineers are collaborating together and sharing use cases, but are developing the solutions individually. October was month one on this project. The PMs are collecting a portfolio of use cases of known deployments for the team to refer to for future onboarding.
