The Challenge & the Team Department Overview: This is a position for a Data Analysis Engineering co-op within the Engineering Operations team. You will get a chance to work with different functions within Philips like Verification, SW Engineering, Hardware & Electrical Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, Operations, and Project Management. The primary responsibility will be assisting the Engineering Operations team to build various metrics, reports, and solutions that are used to support improvement to development and the CT/AMI products. Other responsibilities may include: - Verifying and validating the mathematics that drive operational metrics. - Creating MicroSoft Business Intelligence reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Performance Point Dashboard Designer and Visual Studio. - Helping to define key organizational and product metrics designed to improve quality, effectiveness and efficiency. Moreover, the data analysis skills you will learn are applicable to a wide range of career choices above and beyond engineering. We are looking for Qualifications: Student working towards a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Medical Imaging preferred. - Experience with Microsoft development tools, SQL. - A basic understanding of statistics and design of experiments - Demonstrated ability to work and contribute in a team environment - General troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills a plus Competencies: Below are additional nice-to-have competency areas. - Defect tracking and requirements tools (e.g. ClearQuest and Doors) - Electronic testing (e.g. Quality Center and ALM) - Virtualization - Understanding Medical regulations (e.g. FDA 21CFR Part 820, MDD, etc.) - Programming & scripting knowledge
