Current Need-Data Analyst 

Position Description
As a Data Analyst you will be a key contributor to software implementation and development projects at McKesson Health Solutions. You will be a critical part of the McKesson software implementation team, performing complex data requirements analysis, data mapping, data design, integration approach design, and contributing to data conversion testing and analysis. You will also provide documentation and training support for various products and solutions that are part of the McKesson platform. For customer project work, you will work closely with a Solution Architect, who is responsible for technical project governance, solution design, and end-user satisfaction; you will often be working with customer subject matter experts at a customer site on data mapping, design, and system integration.


Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years experience in software engineering and/or software architecture

Critical Skills
  • Willingness to travel to nationwide client locations (up to 75%)
  • Experience with relational database design and modeling (ERD)
  • Experience with data mapping of complex business solutions from one data model to another
  • Experience with ETL processes
  • High level of competency with Oracle PL/SQL or similar
  • Experience with SQL relational database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with ETL tools and software (i.e. informatica PowerCenter, DataStage, SAP Data Integrator, Talend, Pentaho, SSIS) preferred
  • Experience with system integration utilizing a Service Bus preferred
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry, provider management, and payer core systems preferred
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled teaching and instruction capability for internal and customer-facing sessions
  • Fast learner
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Facilitate data discovery, design, and mapping sessions with client resources, utilizing excellent communication skills
  • Analyze, design, and document complex data solutions to support customer business needs
  • Develop, maintain, debug, and analyze custom PL/SQL procedures, packages, and functions with a focus on performance and data quality
  • Support the configuration and utilization of system(s) integration via an Enterprise Service Bus, including developing new system adapters
  • Perform data analysis of ETL and data consolidation processes, bug verification and root cause analysis, and provide supportive testing for data processes within various products

  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
