Position Purpose:

The Senior Business-Data Analyst will lead efforts associated with requirements gathering for reporting, trending, and analysis supporting the delivery of Digital Workplace services.  The analyst will be responsible for implementing the process and data gathering methods necessary to develop and deliver key performance indicator metrics as required.  This role will be responsible for working with service owners to develop, automate where possible, and deliver performance metrics associated with key components of each service.  In addition, the Senior Business Data Analyst will perform trending analysis and propose additional detailed metrics based on conclusions drawn from trending.  The analyst will assist in defining quality thresholds, and establishing and monitoring the source data’s accuracy.  The analyst will also make recommendations to improve the quality of metrics data.

Essential Job Responsibilities:  

Works with Digital Workplace service owners to gather requirements and develop KPI metric reporting and trend analysis to measure delivery and value of services to the business and ensure compliance with enterprise standards. Uses reporting tools to develop and automate reporting to track service delivery performance against defined performance goals / service level agreements. Supports the technical evaluation of various applications and tools across the different domains to recommend and implement a standard solution as required.  Works directly with team members to facilitate the consolidation of existing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and build a standard set of performance reports against those KPIs.  Report out on a defined frequency.  May define and develop conformance reports relative to supporting standard operational processes.  Provides assistance with defining, evaluating, documenting and improving existing operational processes.  Uses judgment and creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.  Identify and weigh multiple process paths if needed – for short-term and long-term metrics creation capabilities and services In performing the above the role must:

•Work in close collaboration with Digital Workplace service owners or delegates

•Collaborate with other identified SMEs and process owners, from within Fiserv and/or from vendors & partners, to insure their inputs as well as accountability of their components in the overall process / metrics definition

•Align IT processes to improve flexibility, facilitate large scale reuse, improve comprehensibility, traceability, and visibility

•Provide inputs for continuous improvement of processes

Required Qualifications:


•Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma with 5 years equivalent work experience in quality metrics process methodology

Job Related Experience:

•The Business Data Analyst should have a minimum 5 years of experience in quality metric process methodology supporting IT.  The ideal candidate will possess the capability to think outside of the box to identify or define processes that improve productivity and bring simplicity to managing complex business needs. 

•Excellent communications, consulting, and client relationship skills

•Ability to identify, collect, and analyze business requirements

•Ability to interface at various levels of organization to present process options, and provide guidance to the recommended option based on industry best practices, ROI and TCO dimensions

•Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned project responsibilities under limited supervision

•Ability to balance between the ideal process and the business / customer needs – short-term and long-term

•Exceptional time management and organizational skills

•Self-disciplined, self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes quickly

•Superior attention to detail

•Ability to implement quality measures and tracking.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

•Ability to build, configure and format reports using reporting tools such as Business Objects, PowerBI, etc.

•Ability to interpret data for trends and/or anomalies

•Intermediate to Advance Excel Skills

•Intermediate PowerPoint Skills

•Knowledge of IT processes

•ITIL or Six Sigma certification preferred

•Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow nice to have

Travel Required:

• up to 10%
