The Data Management Analyst is responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and updating all data and processes within Nuveen systems - Eagle Performance and Data Management, SS&C Portia, and Charles River.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Understand the data matrix supported by Nuveen systems, the product lines serviced and its usage to Nuveen Global Operations (NGO) and other user departments
Analyze error logs generated from Nuveen systems and identify issues
Manage all imports/exports to/from Portia and Charles River; troubleshoot and correct issues when necessary
Understand the dataflow between Nuveen systems and its outside vendors and custodians
Reduce errors by analyzing data from multiple sources and identifying patterns
Train new co-workers when needed
Recognize needs for process improvements and suggest solutions to management
Coordinate the needs of user departments that may require additional data
Work various adhoc projects and collaborations within Operations, Compliance, Front Office, and Product Development

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
Minimum 2 to 5 years previous experience within investment management industry required
Experience working with security data across all asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives
Knowledge of market data sources, products, and tools. I.e. Bloomberg, S&P, Reuters, IDC, FactSet
Previous experience in APL, Portia, Charles River, Factset, Eagle or Bloomberg a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with internal clients and outside vendors to articulate system requirements
Strong analytical skills
Strong work ethic
Ability to work in a team and individually
Ability to multi-task
