I have an immediate need for a Data Scientist to work for a new fast-paced start-up healthcare software company. As a Data Scientist with this company, you will be a part of an organization who is a social impacting enterprise that connects underserved communities with customized healthcare resources. In the role of Data Scientist, you will be collaborating with a growing team using cutting edge technologies! This is a full-time role that is located on the Southside of Chicago, offering competitive salary and health benefits. The right candidate will be able to conceptualize and carry out analyses that demonstrates the data's value and building algorithms that evaluate the platform. As the Data Scientist, you will be responsible for internal business intelligence, usage and comprehensiveness of the platform, iteration of products and customer reporting. In this Data Scientist role, your time will consist of approximately 50% doing data mining, mapping, storage and extraction, analysis, modeling, machine learning, data visualization and the other 50% on more functional data tasks such as: fulfillment of internal requests and tickets of teams, creating versions of reports for customers as needed ect. As the Data Scientist, you will be responsible for: • Strategic thinking regarding how the data can solve problems for diverse stakeholders within the healthcare space while focusing on Big data mining, manipulation and analysis. • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis and model building • Supporting report building for customers and internal business teams • Setting up data pipelines in Microsoft Azure to extract, transform and load data for customer reporting, analysis and modeling • Identifying data-related opportunities for new product development features • Be vigilant about ways to increase efficiencies and productivity • Assist with development of protocols for systematizing processes for collecting, monitoring, analyzing and reporting data Qualifications: • BS in a quantitative discipline (e.g. epidemiology, statistics, quantitative health or social science), CS, or IT • At least 2+ years of experience in a data-related role, including machine learning and predictive analytics with big data with Applied statistics skills, such as statistical testing, regression • Experience with: R, Python, C#, SQL and its dialects; PowerBI, Tableau • Research experience or an understanding of research, especially health services research • Comfortable working in teams and interfacing with customers • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments • Can-do attitude and willingness to work on a dynamic mix of tasks no matter how big or small • Commitment to social impact initiatives and helping underserved communities For immediate consideration, contact Keely Nowland at firstname.lastname@example.org with your most updated resume and the best time for me to reach you!
