Current Need
Database Administrator Developer- Onsite - Pensacola, FL

Position Description

The position involves the analysis, design, documentation, development, testing and implementation activities related to the database development and modifications to healthcare systems.  The job requires working closely with the IT teams across several application areas to create and maintain efficient database solutions to meet the customer’s needs. 


Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
4+ years experience in database administration

Critical Skills
  • A minimum of 4 years of database development experience, including experience as a hands-on database architect, administrator or developer building efficient application solutions
  • Administrative and development experience on Microsoft SQL 2008+ database
  • Proficient with T-SQL including stored procedure and trigger development
  • Experience modifying and running batches used for loading EDI and other proprietary transactions into a database
  • Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server is a plus
  • Experience with developing code for interaction and support of the TriZetto Facets system is a plus
  • Must be an analytical and creative problem solver
  • Must be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with the team to develop an application that meets the client’s requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research, document and solve complex issues independently
 
Additional Knowledge and Skills
-Detailed knowledge of database definition, structure, documentation, operational guidelines & security -Detailed understanding of DBMS software (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) -Detailed knowledge of backup & recovery strategies -Detailed knowledge of one or more operating systems as it relates to DBMS & applicable patches -Detailed knowledge of writing DBMS queries (e.g., SQL) & scripting languages (e.g., Perl, DOS, PowerShell) -Working knowledge of DBMS procedural programming language (e.g., PL-SQL, T-SQL, java) -Working knowledge of performance monitoring & tuning -Working knowledge of business client application(s) & DBMS integration & implementation

Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
