The Database Analyst manages, monitors and maintains company databases. In this role they are responsible for the complex design, programming and testing work related to the implementation, enhancement and support of manufacturing database systems per business requirements and specifications. The Analyst interprets specifications, troubleshoots problems identified by users and provides technical documentation of the design of the database, as well as performance tuning, and monitoring results. The Database Analyst also must gather and assesses development requirements and translate development requirements and specifications into high quality, efficient solutions. The Database Analyst must also be comfortable with: testing and implementations, supporting project plans, provide customized reporting, support barcode/forms and report printing needs, maintain database backup/recovery environment and a keen knowledge of DBMS and related products. Ideal candidate would have a strong manufacturing background and will rely on that experience to identify new business system opportunities relative to the companies database and reporting environment.
