We are looking for a SQL Developer for a direct hire position in the Mason, OH area. The SQL Developer is responsible for developing and designing procedural database code in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Responsibilities will also include writing reports, performance tuning of existing stored procedures, and development of Transact SQL for in house applications. The SQL Developer will work closely with developers and database administrators regarding the implementation of database related components for development efforts. Individual must have a strong working knowledge of designing and developing ETL Processes for various Data Management Systems (DBMS) and a data warehouse environment. The ETL Developer must have proven intermediate applied knowledge in the following areas: designing & developing complex ETL packages using MSSQL, writing and debugging complex SQL queries & performance tuning. SQL DEVELOPER DESCRIPTION Monitor stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements. Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues and conduct database transaction audits. Work with the application support / development teams for database report request. Access reporting needs of various departments through investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine the desired results. Maintain data integrity, ongoing quality control and performance of delivered reports. Work closely with all levels of end users to quickly develop reports which will be used for quality and outcomes reporting as well as strategic business decisions. Support the DBA when required. Performs query tuning and analysis. Supports Data Warehouse load processes (ETL) Supports the Business Intelligence (BI) Developer/Administrator Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hour and weekend support Keeps abreast of new technologies and suggests their application to their systems where appropriate.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS BS/MS in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years' experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is critical with an understanding of report development, publications and distribution SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development is critical Strong technical knowledge of design and development of ETL packages, database design, operating systems and Microsoft SQL components. MUST have strong T-SQL skills and have a strong background in Stored Procedures MDX, DMX or XMLA experience a plus Ability to thrive in a changing environment while working on multiple assignments with multiple priorities Experience with source control management concepts, including branching, code merging, builds, and parallel development Light Web Development (.Net) a plus 1+ years of work experience designing and creating complex database reports. Requires in-depth knowledge and proficiency in data extraction and reporting techniques and in the use of database and report-writing tools and platforms. Solid understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning Experience in transitioning reporting solutions out of MS Access or Excel Experience creating report prototypes Experience supporting a 24x7 environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, client relation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a technical team environment
