Group Benefits is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and management of MetLife’s industry leading U.S. employee benefits.  This role exists within Americas/Group Benefits/Dental and Vision Network Development and is responsible for recruiting dentists and maintaining relationships with participating area dentists in the DHMO program in So CA.


The success of our Network team has direct impact on earnings and revenue as network growth leads to greater sales opportunity, which helps Group Benefits achieve its goals and further position our company as a leader.






  • Recruit dentists to participate in the CA DHMO program.


  • Retain current DHMO dentists in the assigned area.


  • Travel to meet with dentists in assigned area, when required.


  • Partner with Finance to provide financial needs.


  • Negotiate fees when necessary in assigned areas.


  • Support sales via updates/ reports of network activities.


  • Support dental product initiatives.


  • Learn and apply necessary computer skills to meet reporting.





  • Bachelor's degree.


  •  3-5 years relevant business experience with recruiting either dentists or doctors and/or experience working in a dental office.

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills required and knowledge of dental office practice management preferred.


  • Familiar with dental DHMO plans.


  • Strong customer service skills.


  • Knowledge of area fee calculation process as well as fee negotiations with area dentists and internal financial partners required.


  • Some knowledge of Preferred Dental Plans (PDP) a strong advantage.


  • Strategic planning and project management skills are needed to develop and implement marketing plans.




Minimum of 60% of travel required overall includes daily visits as required to visit dentists and weekly visit to Irvine team office.  This position is a remote/work from home role.
