Position Description

This position is for a role within Fiserv’s Item Processing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). The main focus of this associate position will be using proven retail banking back office experience to support and / or perform deposit business process outsourcing services as provided by Fiserv.

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

  • As a Back Office Clerk, associate will display primary support of banking deposit related operational policies (exception processing, adjustment processing, GL balancing etc.) procedures and requirements
  • Supports retail bank’s operations / back office functions
  • Understands Fiserv technologies from an operational perspective
  • Support different bank account types:
    • Checking
    • Savings
    • IRAs
    • Certificates of Deposit
    • Business
    • Trust
  • Ability to perform and support daily operations in the BPO with regard to:◦Account origination, maintenance and closing
    • Daily maintenance activity
    • ACH and REG E
    • Exception handling
    • Reporting
    • Research
    • Conducting financial transactions
    • Credit cards
    • ATMs
    • Escheatment processing
  • Ability to prepare the BPO balance sheet on a daily basis in order to report GL activity and reconcile any discrepancies for corrective action

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or related) or a minimum of 4 years of retail banking operations / back office experience
  • Must be able to work out of the downtown Chicago office location
