Pay Rate/Salary: $10.40-11.00 / Hour

The Design Specialist works hand in hand with the Account Leader to develop product that captures the customer needs. The Design Specialist acts as expert on materials, trims, and finishes for the custom team. He/She works closely with the Account Leader, Graphics and the Factory to maintain integrity of data and specs and coordinates creation of physical, virtual and sew out samples from sample fabrication to sample production.

  • Utilize, customer portals, and 3rd party systems for sample item creation, ordering, and maintaining data integrity. Coordinate with Account Leaders, Factory and Graphics as needed.

  • Prepare samples understanding the cost of materials, trims, and processes and review for Quality Control.

  • Monitor all compliance/licensing/customer requirements for customers and product, making changes as necessary to remain compliant.

  • Manage incoming/outgoing changes to samples and approve samples for production.

  • Must have the ability multi-task and possess an ability to interpret a variety of instructions based on the customers' needs, often working on multiple projects for multiple customers.

  • Ability to interpret creative designs into physical product, within customers costing & quality expectations.

  • Must be able to prioritize and manage deadlines and perform work under pressure minimal errors.

  • Demonstrates the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume efficiently.

  • Regularly follow product trend to be the expert in fabric, shapes, and decorations.

  • Demonstrates superior attention to detail, checking all product for errors before sending samples to factory for construction and must be able to follow specification standards and templates .

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral and work well within their team and assist other team members as needed and other duties as assigned.

  • Seeks out opportunities for enhanced workflow processes and automation in all areas of responsibility and Collaborates internally with cross functional partners to implement solutions.

  • Requirements� Demonstrates proficiency in computer knowledge, typing ability and Excel and Word, utilizing the programs fluently to do assigned work.
