MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design,development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases
such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products,numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.
DTI - Desktop Technologies Implementation
As part of this team the candidate will be involved in a variety of activities which are part of the scope of the team, these include but are not limited to:
-Integration of new technologies into the WM environment which includes representing the division's needs and requirements as the product is configured
-Interfacing and engaging with engineering teams and peers to create solutions using existing technology
-Strategizing, planning and developing a holistic approach for large scale technology implementations
-Technical planning and execution of technology deployments with full responsibility for project plan, resource allocation and selection, and funding management
-Dissemination of knowledge, procedures and documentation for products and projects
-Management of the physical and virtual desktop environments from an optimization perspective
-Develop and evolve strategies for various technologies to address changing needs
-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and six (8) years of experience in the position offered or six (8) years of experience as a Systems Analyst, or related technical occupation
-Excellent communication and written skills
-Demonstrate ownership of project execution
-Requires experience with enterprise networks
-Deep knowledge of Windows Microsoft operating systems and related technologies including Active directory
-Experience with desktop/laptop hardware, peripherals
-Strong troubleshooting / support experience
-Scripting expertise with PowerShell, SQL, VB and Automation
-Experience creating detailed technical documentation
-In-depth experience of troubleshooting within large, globally distributed, complex environments.
-Working knowledge of network device management, i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers
-Knowledge of common IT processes, including ITIL and PMP
