Top Three Skills:
  • A.S. in Computer Science or equivalent certifications (A+, Network+, CompTIA, etc.) - those with computer classes in software development is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone to technical and non-technical individuals - must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Ideally 3+ months IT related experience (PC Tech, Helpdesk, Internship, School Helpdesk, etc.) or experience with POS systems (Aloha) Would look at candidates with less experience, if currently in school as this is a part time need

  • Job Description:

    This person would be on a team that is responsible for installing the newest Aloha software - Aloha 15.1 onto 1,900 terminals. In this role, this person will be responsible for assisting with Payment Gateway as well as Draft Optimization - two applications within the software that this candidate would be trained in on in the job.

    Work Environment:

    They will work at the This company's headquarters in Golden Valley, MN. This technician will work directly under the Implementation Project Manager as well as partner with two of our former consultants who have converted to perm employees. The environment is dress for your day, which is primarily casual or business casual.

    Interview Information:

    Interviews will be in-person with Steve Otto- Implementation Manager. They will be 30-45 minutes and focus on the candidate's IT drive, background, as well as what the job entails. Feedback will be given within 24 hours of the interview.

    Who is the Internal/External Customer:

    The customers are the store managers at both retail and franchise locations at this company's locations.

    Impact to the Internal/External Customer:

    It is important that this process run smoothly as they will be deploying software to corporate stores as well as franchise stores. A bad job would result in complaints from franchise owners or store managers back to corporate.

    Business Challenge:

    The team is tasked with making sure the software installation is completed accurately and efficiently. If this does not happen, this will interrupt the daily functioning of the retail locations, affecting business and the drive of revenue.

There are several other upgrades, deployments, implementations that Steve is scheduled to complete this year and he and his Director have been quoted saying they are 80% sure additional resources will be needed after this engagement wraps up.

    Customer service skills, interpersonal skills, good work ethic, desire to be part of a project from start-to-finish.
