Leading dynamic technology services firm is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer/Helpdesk/Field Technician. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting a wide variety of hardware and software including desktops, notebooks, software and basic network hardware.
Responsibilities of the Desktop Support Engineer include:
Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up for all issues;
Provide resolution of the root cause for technical problems;
Answer incoming support calls and messages (email, text, etc. . .), providing resolution within stated time requirements;
Provide proactive and reactive support, as well as initial configuration and deployment services, for:
Software, including: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, Microsoft Office, email applications, and drivers;
Hardware, including: Desktops, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, printers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners;
Provide foundational-level support for LAN hardware and software as well as installation;
Adhere to all established AD security standards;
Maintain accurate and detailed records within ticketing and invoicing system for all work performed;
Think critically and work methodically to troubleshoot and resolve level one support issues;
The successful Desktop Support Engineer will have:
2+ or more years' experience in a desktop support and deployment role
Ability to handle a moderate volume of calls, emails, and support tickets;
Expertise in configuring and managing desktops, notebooks, tablets and smartphones;
Experience with TCP/IP networks, LAN and Internet configurations;
Basic understanding of Microsoft AD management (user add/change/removes) and network hardware;
Windows XP, Vista and 7/8/10 support experience; Microsoft Office 2003-2016 support experience;
Strong communication skills and attention to detail;
Eagerness to grow, learn, and succeed;
Certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA, etc. are preferred, but are not required.
Requirements: Reliable transportation, valid drivers, and auto insurance.
