Job Description: Our customer is the world's leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative foodservice packaging solutions which includes cups, plates, containers, lids and straws. Over the last 5 years they have seen significant growth through product demand and acquisition. This growth has led them to increase the need to partner with TEKsystems to help them achieve their initiatives. Currently Client 's largest IT initiative is the implementation of SAP's Warehouse Management Module within all its plant locations domestically. TEKsystems will be responsible for providing a Sr. Desktop Support technician at Client s various plant locations around the US for 6 months to provide on-site technical support pre and post implementation of the SAP warehouse module.
Day to day these technicians will be responsible for assisting the plant SAP team and other end users with installs of their printers (Zebra) and RF ID Scanners (Honeywell products) as well as basic PC issues that arise during the implementation process (many issues will be with log ins and basic SAP questions). The techs goal is to make sure all ancillary IT devices are installed prior to Go-Live. They will also be responsible for escalating any higher technical issue to the IT Team in Mason, MI. Basic desktop support responsibilities for end users will be the remainder of the day to day for these resources. This will include but not be limited to installation and configuration of new end user devices (pc's, laptops, tabs), software updates, connecting devices to the network, printer repair and troubleshooting and RF ID scanner device troubleshooting.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong hardware break fix experience of physical devices (PC, laptops, printers, RF ID Devices). High Customer service as this resource will be the sole IT resource on site for the plant reporting back to the IT dept in MI. Pluses: Any experience supporting IT within a manufacturing environment, ability to perform some physical work as some of these environments may require some wiring. Any electrical and low voltage wiring competency would be a big plus in these plant environments.
