Developer Advisor will participate in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle utilizing various customer technology platforms for either an assigned business unit or corporate department, including development for multiple devices and browsers; analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements; act as a liaison between the company and clients to determine business requirements; work with the development team to develop and define application scope and objectives working with object-oriented development, TDD, design patterns, UML, .Net, Windows services, WCF, SOAP, Restful Web Services, ASP.NET, MVC, jQuery, ActionScript, Knockout JS/Angular JS, MS SQL, Oracle RDBMS, stored procedures and SSRS/SSIS; prepare functional and/or technical specifications; code and maintain complex components of information systems; perform IIS administration and web deployment using PowerShell/Web Deploy scripts to aid in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts; collaborate with engineers and graphic designers to analyze and classify complex change requests to evaluate possible enhancements; mentor/coach junior staff members and colleagues on coding standards and code reviews; develop and perform system testing, as well as identify and rectify any defects that were discovered during testing; re-execute unit tests to validate results; provide on call support and monitor the system to identify and rectify any deficiencies as necessary; work with project manager on project coordination, including providing a task list for entire development team, providing timelines/plans and tracking the progress for the development team; and coordinate with onsite and offsite contractors.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, engineering technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of .NET UI development experience or, alternatively, a Master's degree and three years of experience as noted above. Specific skills/other requirements - must possess the following: test driven development (1 year); mentoring/coaching junior members as well as performing code reviews (1 year); development on multiple devices and multiple browsers, including both mobile and desktop (2 years); object-oriented development to include design patterns and UML (3 years); Search Engine Optimization for web applications (1 year); .NET development to include Windows services, WCF, SOAP and Restful Web Services (3 years); Web application frameworks, including ASP.NET , ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, ActionScript and Knockout JS/Angular JS (3 years); MS SQL and Oracle RDBMS, including writing stored procedures and SSRS/SSIS (3 years); and IIS administration and web deployment using PowerShell/Web Deploy scripts (1 year). This is a telecommuting position which can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
