Developer Advisor will be participate in all phases of the software development and maintenance of a product life cycle, utilizing specific technology platforms; maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements; collaborate with engineers and graphic designers; analyze and classify complex change requests and review and evaluate possible enhancements; work with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives; prepare functional and/or technical specifications; analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements; write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements; utilize B2B web integration and Web Services for integration; conduct batch scheduling using Control - M; write stored procedures on SQL Server or Sybase database platform using T-SQL; utilize XML, ASP.Net and C# technologies; contribute ideas for making applications better and easier to use; develop and perform system testing and fix defects identified during testing; re-execute unit tests to validate results; mentor others on coding standards and perform code reviews; utilize and aid in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, electronic engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of full SDLC experience or, alternatively, a Master's degree and three years of experience as noted above. Specific skills/other requirements - must possess the following: B2B web integration (2 years); Control - M (1 year); Web Services (3 years); XML (2 years); writing stored procedures on SQL Server or Sybase using T-SQL (3 years); and ASP.Net and C# (3 years).
