DeveloperAdvisor will work with all stakeholders, including business, analyst, PM, the development team, test leads, and release management, to make sure requirements are clear and impacted systems are analyzed; ensure estimates are accurate and coding best practices are followed to confirm complete test coverage and traceability; plan release milestones for speed-to-delivery; develop and review analysis artifacts and lead execution phases of projects; utilize Informatica/Big Data tools to facilitate technical design and development of high performance ETL software using Hadoop, Netezza and Teradata database platforms; utilize various Hadoop tools and technologies, including HDFS, Hive, PIG, Sqoop, Spark, Flume, Map Reduce and Oozie; develop APIs using Python, No SQL, Java and MongoDB; work with project managers to define detailed tasks and estimates for ETL related work on the assigned projects; work with systems analysts to review requirements and provide technical responses; provide technical support during both SIT and UAT testing and support environment setup; conduct performance testing; conduct frequent code reviews to make sure quality is maintained; perform scripting using Shell, BTEQ, PL SQL and FEXP scripting tools; conduct proactive data profiling to ensure data quality is maintained; provide on-call support and join production outage calls to resolve production issues; work on root cause analysis of any production incident; participate in continuous improvement activities for the team; and act as SME for one or more functional areas of RHI data exchanges.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of ETL solution design and development experience. Specific skills/other requirements - must possess the following: Hadoop, Teradata and DB2 database platforms (3 years); scripting tools, including Unix Shell, BTEQ, PL SQL and FEXP (4 years); Big Data Hadoop tools, including HDFS, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Spark, Map Reduce and Oozie (2 years); Informatica ETL tools (3 years); and development using Python or Java (1 year).
