Institutional Corporate Technology (ICT)
Institutional Corporate Technology (ICT) is part of Technology. This group is responsible for developing enterprise applications for a diverse set of businesses including Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, and Global Capital Markets. In addition, ICT provides technology solutions for client-aligned groups and company-wide divisions, such as Finance and Operations, post-trade functions within the Institutional Securities Group and standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.
Trading Risk & Controls Practice Area is recruiting a technologist preferably with experience in front office sales and trading environment to join its global team of developers. We are most interested in people who have thorough understanding of the flows in their area of business expertise and are eager to learn. Good communication is also critical.
The role involves hands-on development in KDB and shell/python scripting. Applications owned by TRC Team interface with all trading systems, fulfill regulatory rules and internal risk requirements. You will have the opportunity to work with the colleagues around the globe while helping on the regional deliveries
Good knowledge of Q/KDB
Good knowledge of Unix / Linux command line tools (e.g. grep, awk), shell (ksh or bash). Should be able to write up single line commands quickly.
Good knowledge of core concepts (e.g. file system layout, threads, processes, OS knowledge)
Bachelor's in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, from a top tier university.
2-6 years of relevant experience
Some exposure to the financial services industry is a plus including an understanding of the trade lifecycle.
Awareness of finance related protocols and technologies like real time market data, FIX protocol.
