Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining development and operations relational aspects of the SIM OTA system (Including LRA) and UICC between system vendor and various Verizon departments (Marketing, Device Technology, ThingSpace, Network HQ, M.E. IT, Device Vendors, Customers).

Responsible for driving UICC/SIM OTA system improvements. This includes troubleshooting anomalies, identifying system improvements and driving those improvements through implementation.  The candidate will be the primary liaison between Device Marketing , Device Technology and Network Departments,  There will also be direct device vendor and customer interaction. The candidate will cooperatively work with senior development members of the team.

Qualifications

Significant understanding of cellular network design and  operations (LTE, VoLTE, CDMA, M2M, SMS, LSGW, Roaming systems, 3GPP).  Knowledge of SIM OTA, SMS, Subscription Management standards

Knowledge and experience in Verizon IT systems and processes.  Verizon device requirements/UICC knowledge. Leadership of cross functional teams.  Candidate will interact with Network NNO, Network HQ Planning, Network Maintenance Engineering, IT/MTAS, Product Development,  Device Technology, Device Marketing, ThingSpace, Legal,  Sourcing, System Vendors and customers. 

Detailed knowledge of SIM OTA, UICC SMS, 3GPP Standards.  Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues.

BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience

Two or more years relevant experience

Three (plus) years of telecommunications industry or related experience.
