**Job Description:** DevOps Engineer ** This position requires 1-4 years of experience, so we are looking for mid-level DevOp engineers** Rapid deployment is a way of life for us. The best way to ensure that we are building features that our customers need is to ship them frequently so that we can get feedback from real world users. To do this we leverage a ton of automation so that our internal builds use the same tooling as our production servers. Also, in the Cloud model, we scale servers up and down based on load, again all through automation. We are looking for a Junior Developer or System Admin with a strong desire to manage the glue that holds our applications together in the cloud. In this role you will work as a code contributor with our feature development teams to ensure that we can reliably and repeatedly build, deploy, and monitor each of the features that we ship. This is a role that simultaneously requires you to have fundamental competencies in a broad array of technology, while also being able to go deep on others. If you get excited about replacing complex manual tasks with maintainable code, being able to stand up a large federation of servers with a few keystrokes, or watching all your Grafana dashboards throughout the day then we should talk. Required skills or knowledge: + Must have experience with AWS and/or Chef + Experience with scripting languages specifically bash, ruby (preferred) or python. + Experience with configuration management Additional skills that we look for in this role include: + Experience with web platform technology specifically including Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Node.JS, and Java. + Experience with server virtualization. + Experience with deployment automation tools (Chef, Puppet). + We make heavy use of Source Code Management [Git] tooling and expect to see multiple code check-ins daily. + Experience with monitoring applications such as Nagios, InfluxDB, and Grafana. Next Step: If you think you might be the right person for this role, we want to hear from you.
