Die Cutter Operator

Performs all tasks in make-ready, preventative maintenance, and production run assigned by the schedule and or shift supervisor on sheet fed Die Cutters. Inspect equipment for safety issues. Direct crew though all aspects of production.  Monitor quality, output, and productivity.  

General knowledge of more complex machines.  Thorough knowledge of the set up, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of die cutting machines.  Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications.  Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the machines.


  1. Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  2. Operate your assigned equipment in accordance with the manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
  3. Perform all tasked required by the job jacket to make-ready the job according to the production schedule.
  4. Prepare a job approval sheet meeting the requirements for QA sign off prior to running the job.
  5. Monitor the production through out the run for quality, maintaining all required samples as designated in your procedures.
  6. Perform all required preventative maintenance in accordance to the production schedule.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area and press.


  1. Regularly lift up to 15 lbs. and periodically be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  2. Bending, squatting, walking, steps and standing all day.
  3. Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
  4. Hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety toe shoes required constantly.


Punctual, regular attendance is an essential job function of employment with RR Donnelley. Overtime, including weekend work, is considered a condition of employment. Flexibility to work any shift is required.
