The Digital Business Group internship is designed to give high school/pre-college students the opportunity to develop the skills, experiences, and networks that are critical to launching a career in the STEM field. You will be responsible for designing, building and testing a variety of projects that support IBM's cloud and cognitive developer outreach activities in the U.S. You're the perfect candidate if you have helped to launch and/or lead an afterschool club or program (such as First Robotics, Girls Who Code, ...), have good grades, good attendance, and are genuinely interested in learning more about business and technology. You should also have strong verbal and written communication skills and understand the importance of being part of a team. Other critical skills include the ability to manage a project timeline, check your work, and pay close attention to detail.
We are offering a great hand-on learning experience for you to develop resources and materials which your peers (and maybe even teachers) can use in the classroom or in their clubs as they explore design thinking and how cloud and cognitive technologies can help enable innovation and social good. In addition to learning about cloud and cognitive services, you will be exposed to business and marketing fundamentals, and career exploration. You should be familiar with a couple of different programming languages (scratch, python, ...) and be comfortable asking questions to get the help you need to complete a task. Also, as you will be expected to socially share your experience, you will need to be comfortable writing/editing blogs and videos.
