The Digital Producer is responsible for content publishing
throughout BabyCenter’s worldwide publishing systems. This position will work
with our Editors, Designers, Community Managers, and Content Managers to
execute ongoing content management production tasks and project-based authoring
This position requires a wide range of skills as well as a
real interest in learning how content is published and managed for websites,
communities, mobile apps, video, social media, and everywhere in between.
- Post and verify website content on a consistent,
reliable basis. This will include publishing content via our content management
system (CMS), and trying to master all of the functions of the system.
Occasionally, you may need to post files to third-party systems like video
hosting platforms, external content management systems, video distribution
(Youtube, iTunes app content, etc), and other systems.
- Create a
constructive relationship with the editorial team, producers, product managers,
designers, client services, and engineers
- Work directly with BabyCenter’s business owners
to support authoring in the BabyCenter Community, US content sites, Facebook,
Youtube, blog systems, and other venues
- Become an expert user in our content management
consistent formatting of text content, design layouts, images, metadata, video
files, audio files, scheduled reports
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of
relevant experience is required.
- Previous experience authoring web content is
required. This might be professional experience or previous relevant experience
with a blog, web page, mobile app, Youtube, or elsewhere.
- Some knowledge of web markup language formatting
is required, including some basic knowledge of HTML format, such as lists,
tables, and links
to manage and prioritize assigned tasks
- Strict attention to detail and organizational
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly
Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with content management
systems is required
- Previous project experience is preferred
