We're looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist who excels at developing and managing search optimized digital experiences to drive traffic, engagement and conversion. You will be part of a high energy team in New York City, focused on innovative approaches, best practices and data to more effectively drive marketing pipeline and growth for IBM. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of end-to-end digital experience for a key area of our business, and focus on increasing our search ranking, traffic, engaged traffic and digital pipeline through continuous innovation and a best-in-class experience. Critical objectives include understanding and continuously monitoring search activity, competitive activity, digital KPIs and data from testing to take action and drive continuous optimization. You will strategize and execute in tight partnership with Search, Social Media, Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Paid Media and Campaign Management to deliver on those objectives. Staying informed about the latest digital marketing strategy and trends, user experience design and digital tooling is a must.

Technical Requirements and Professional Expertise
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Digital Strategist, Information Architect, User Experience Designer or any other role that involves strategizing and building user experience for high-traffic, complex digital properties
  • Clear understanding of search engine marketing and applying SEO best practices
  • Highly creative, with experience in delivering digital experiences that engage, inform and convert prospects into buyers
  • Expert understanding of web analytics, digital metrics, digital media testing methodology and optimization strategies
  • Comfortable and very familiar with html and web content management systems (i.e Drupal)
  • Self-directed, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to closely collaborate as a part of a team composed of business, creative and technical types in a highly matrixed environment
