Diligence Accounting Associate – Healthcare Services - Buffalo, NY
The Due Diligence Associate will principally conduct due diligence on current and prospective bank borrowers, particularly in the healthcare and other specialty lending industries. This role will be primarily responsible for assisting in reviewing historical and projected financial statements/cash flows and assessing borrowing base collateral, mainly accounts receivable. In addition, the Due Diligence Associate will conduct various procedures to ensure borrower payment of obligations and the integrity of financial data. The Due Diligence Associate will be required to understand the basics of sector-specific healthcare reimbursement mechanisms and the regulatory environment impacting healthcare companies. The Due Diligence Associate will need to be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and be willing to learn certain data extraction softwares. The Due Diligence Associate will be required to collaborate closely with other diligence team members and borrower personnel. Travel is estimated at 25-50%.

-Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
-Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
-Demonstrated interpretive and problem solving skills
-Bachelor’s degree or military experience
-1 year of due diligence experience in healthcare auditing/diligence, public accounting, broader back office accounting, and/or commercial bank lending
